What we collect and why

If you email us

When you write to hello@xipscope.com we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you and to discuss possible research collaboration.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f).
Retention: for as long as the relationship is active, and thereafter for the period required by applicable limitation rules.

If you visit this site

We use Plausible Analytics to count visits. Plausible sets no cookies, collects no personal data and does not track visitors across sites or devices. It produces aggregate statistics only, on servers located in the European Union.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Art. 6.1.f).

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting purposes.

This website sets no cookies and uses no browser storage.

Who we share data with

Our hosting provider (Register.IT S.p.A., Italy) and our email provider, acting as processors under written agreements. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for any other purpose.

International transfers

None. Our providers process data within the European Economic Area.

Your rights

You may request access to your personal data, or its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability, and you may object to processing. Write to hello@xipscope.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es).

Automated decision-making

We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making.
